1. Pinedale Hall Valentine's Dance

Calling all lovebirds and party-goers! Pinedale Hall invites you to their annual Valentine’s Supper & Dance on February 8. This romantic evening features live music by Ryan Snow, a delicious supper, and plenty of dancing. Doors open at 6 pm, with supper served at 7 pm and the dance running from 9 to 1 am. Tickets are just $35 per person (which includes a $5 event membership fee) -- be sure to grab yours before they’re gone!

All ages are welcome, but crafts and activities will be best suited for ages 8+.

6. Ice Fishing Derby

The Ice Fishing Derby on February 16 is a must for winter sports enthusiasts! Hosted by the Mountainview Rec Society, this event features fishing at your choice of two lakes: Millers Lake (for rainbow trout) or Marlpond (for northern pike).


Registration for the derby begins at 10 am at Marlboro Hall, with an entry fee of $10 per person (children under 12 participate for free). Fishing runs from 11 am to 3 pm (catch and release only).


Fuel up with a delicious pancake breakfast for only $5, and enjoy hot dogs, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. There will be prizes for both adults and children at each lake, along with a raffle featuring fantastic fishing-themed items, including an ice fishing tent!

7. A Step Back in Time

From 12-5 pm, enjoy family-friendly activities such as sleigh rides, a kids' scavenger hunt, a local artisan market, snowshoeing and more. Warm up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate, and enjoy delicious ice cream from Scarly Scoops. Please bring a minimum $5 donation for sleigh rides, which will benefit EARS (Edson Animal Rescue Society).

8. Snow Much Fun Family Day

Bring the whole family out to Griffiths Park Centre on February 17 from 11-2 pm for Snow Much Fun Family Day, courtesy of the Town of Edson!

Enjoy winter-themed activities, including a fireside chat with the Edson Friendship Centre, ice skating (helmets required), cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and more. There will also be exciting outdoor games, as well as a chance to connect with EARS and the Edson Fire Department. Plus, everyone can warm up with a complimentary hot dog and hot chocolate. It's the perfect way to celebrate the season with those you love!

The event is for those 18 and older, with FREE entry. Light refreshments will be provided, and wine will be available for purchase.

10. Red Brick Art Competition

There are cash prizes up for grabs, and all artwork will be displayed from February 24 to March 21 in the Red Brick's art gallery. Entry fees are $5, and canvases are available for purchase at the Red Brick Gift Shop.
