5. Medicine Lodge Rodeo
Since 1980, the Medicine Lodge Rodeo, founded by Alma Anderson, celebrates cowboy pride. The Anderson family maintains this tradition, offering an authentic Western experience every Mother's Day weekend.
This grassroots event has become a cherished tradition in our community, attracting attendees from near and far. It now offers a variety of WRA-sanctioned activities, including thrilling saddle bronc, tie-down roping, the exhilarating 'Pot of Gold' bareback competition, and more.
Apart from classic rodeo events, other highlights include an all-girls rodeo, cowboy church service, kids and adult dances, quirky prizes like the coveted 'hairiest legs' award and Medicine Lodge’s beloved mascot Squirrelly Early Anderson.

8. Mustachio Bullbashio
Head out to Element Zone 13 on May 24 and 25 for an action-packed weekend of bullfights, bull riding and much more while raising awareness for men’s mental health.
Central to the event is the renowned moustache competition, inviting men to flaunt their facial hair for a chance to claim the coveted title. This year, the champion not only earns bragging rights but also receives a magnificent buckle courtesy of the Boot Shop Saddlery & Western Wear, with proceeds benefiting a charity supporting men's mental health initiatives.
Friday night sets the stage with classic Element Zone 13 events, including freestyle bullfights with Gringo Bulls, bull and cow riding, bull poker, Ring of Fear, and more. The excitement continues on Saturday with Bull Riders Canada-sanctioned bull riding starting at 7 pm.
Indulge in delectable offerings from food trucks and unwind at the beer gardens throughout the weekend. Plus, enjoy a captivating live music performance by Cole Malone on Saturday night.
