1. Beyond the Trees Born This Way Summer Camp
Calling kids ages 5-17! Experience unforgettable outdoor adventures this summer with Beyond the Trees, a children's camp provider bringing quality programming to Surprise Lake Camp this summer.
Participate in canoeing, outdoor education, craft making and many more activities at Beyond the Trees' Born This Way Day Camp, open to anyone in the LGBTQ2S+ community and their allies or siblings. This camp offers inclusive and supportive programming, providing participants with a comfortable space to call their own.
Founded by former Surprise Lake Camp Director April Keighan, Beyond the Trees aims to bring camp programs to all children, regardless of their family's financial situation. For this reason, they offer a tiered payment system: Tier 1 provides financial support, Tier 2 covers essential camp expenses, and Tier 3 allows families to assist others. Their goal is to ensure inclusivity and enriching experiences for all campers.

2. Youth Interagency Action-Packed Summer Camps
Unplug and dive into an unforgettable summer with Edson Youth Interagency’s Action-Packed Summer Camps for ages 10-14!
The camps will feature an abundance of exciting activities to satisfy everyone, including canoeing and fire building at Surprise Lake Camp, tie-dye shirt crafts, messy science experiments, cooking classes, volunteering at the Edson Food Bank, bowling, gymnastics, treasure hunts, swimming, ice cream sundaes and more!
The Boys' Camp ramps up the excitement with a spikeball tournament, a driving range lesson at the Edson Golf Club, and ninja gymnastics at Edson Tumblers Gymnastics. Meanwhile, the Girls' Camp offers creative flair and high-flying fun with a guided painting class, aerial arts at Elevation Studio, and dynamic gymnastics at Edson Tumblers Gymnastics.
LGBTQ2S+ youth are always welcome and participants are encouraged to register for the camp they identify with most closely.

3. Red Brick Arts Centre Summer Camps
The Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum is hosting a bunch of fun day camps for kids ages 6-12 this summer! While many of the camps are fully booked, there are a few that still have spots available. Be sure to book as soon as possible to ensure your child’s spot.
Explore Nature Day on July 16 is a full day camp dedicated to exploring the different elements of nature. Kids will make crafts such as tree art, homemade birdhouses, lanterns, and chocolate-covered pretzels. There will also be lots of fun outdoor activities such as nature scavenger hunts, as well as outdoor games and adventures.
On July 23, kids can participate in Blast From the Past, a long-standing summer camp at the Red Brick featuring tons of fun activities like an escape room, trivia, scavenger hunts and old-timey games to fit the theme. They will be making homemade ice cream, jello, and a party mix, along with crafts they can take home and play with.
Beach Day is the Red Brick’s final camp of the summer, and they will be ending it with a blast with lots of fun beach-themed activities and crafts. Kids can learn how to make a jellyfish sun catcher and kinetic sand, participate in outdoor beach-themed games, make homemade popsicles and beach-inspired cupcakes and much more!

4. Edson Dance Academy & Elevation Studio Summer Camps
This summer, the Edson Dance Academy and Elevation Studio are joining forces to bring thrilling camps to the community for ages 4 and up!
Sign your child up for the Broadway Bound drama intensive weekend camp to help them develop confidence, self expression and performance skills. Using their favourite Broadway musicals as inspiration, campers will participate in movement games, storytelling activities, musical theatre numbers and much more! At the end of camp, students will be showcasing their own drama production.
Kids are invited to celebrate the holidays early this summer with the Christmas in July camp on July 16, featuring a gift exchange, craft-making, and winter-themed activities. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their favourite Christmas attire to add to the festive fun!
July 18 will offer a full day of golfing fun at the Golf Day summer camp, with lessons from the Edson Golf Club and time on the driving range. Campers will also have the chance to take part in a variety of activities at Elevation Studio in the morning before heading out to the range.
At the Animal Rescue Camp on July 23, campers will choose a stuffed animal to "rescue" and care for throughout the camp. The best part? They get to take their new furry friend home!
In preparation for the Edson Renaissance Faire, kids are invited to learn what it takes to be a knight at the July 25 Knights in Training summer camp. Campers will create crafts, participate in 'training' activities, and watch a movie.
Gear up for a splash-tastic day at the Spray Park summer camp on July 30! Campers will enjoy aerial arts activities and summer-themed crafts in the morning, while the afternoon will feature fun in the sun at the Kinsmen Spray Park.
The Hollywood Stunt Camp on August 8 will be action-packed with tons of fun games and activities to participate in. Students will be using their favourite Broadway musicals as inspiration while participating in crafts and learning Acro and aerial 'stunts'.
On August 13, kids are invited to the Mermaids and Pirate summer camp for a day of crafts, aerial arts and treasure hunt fun.
A Sleepover-themed camp will wrap up the summer's fun on August 22, with fun activities, crafts and a movie screening. Campers are encouraged to wear their comfy pajamas!

5. Town of Edson Jr. Park Explorers Summer Camp

Sign your child up for the Town of Edson's Jr. Park Explorers Day Camp, an adventure-filled experience for ages 4-6 at Kinsmen Park! With three exciting dates to choose from, each day features a unique theme packed with crafts, games, and park exploration.
Each camp offers a unique artistic adventure. The August 8 camp will feature a nature bookmark craft. August 15 will be all about creative marker watercolors, and on August 22, campers will design stunning nature boards.

6. Yellowhead County Awesome Adventure Camps

8. Yellowhead County Adventure Play Camps

Yellowhead County FCSS is hosting another fantastic summer camp: Adventure Play Camps for kids ages 3-5! These camps are perfect for little ones to try new activities, unleash their creativity, and boost their confidence, all while being away from their parents.
The camps come in two exciting themes:
1. A Bug's Life: Kids will dive into the tiny world of insects, exploring a new perspective through creativity and imagination.
2. Dino World: Young adventurers will journey back in time to the age of dinosaurs, discovering the wonders of this historical era.

9. Dangler Hockey Summer Hockey & Shooting Camps
Dangler Hockey Development is back with their annual Summer Hockey and Shooting Camps!
This year's Summer Hockey Camp, running from August 19-23, includes a variety of specialized training sessions, including Dangler Freestyle obstacle shooting and small area games for U15/U17, checking skills for U13 and U15, and goalie training for U9-U13. This camp will also include off-ice stickhandling conditioning and ball hockey for U7-U13, as well as on-ice activities for U7. Power skating instruction is offered for U7-U13, shooting and scoring for U9-U15, puck handling for U7-U15, and body checking skills for U13-U15. U15/U17 participants will also enjoy Dangler freestyle shooting and 3v3 and 4v4 games. Plus, every participant will receive a baseball cap!
Dangler Hockey is also offering a Specialized Skating Instruction & Shooting Camp for U9-U13 from August 26-29.
