The Blacksmith Shop

Posted by on May 24, 2012 in Exhibits

Before the time of big box stores and assembly lines, the blacksmith was one of the most important people in a community. The blacksmith was responsible for making hinges, pots and pans, cutlery and of course horseshoes. The blacksmith display portrays what a shop in Edson might have looked like and is also complete with a forge and an anvil from the Edson area, two of the blacksmith’s most important tools.
